What do we say about Home?
Is Home made of bricks and mortar? Can Home really be robbed, destroyed, foreclosed? It certainly seems like it from a human perspective, doesn’t it?
All the while the spiritual FACT is that relative man is incapable of knowing what Home actually is.
So what then is Home? “We know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens” (2 Corinthians 5:1).
In other words, if the seemingly solid, earthly house of bricks and mortar is destroyed, attacked, removed in any way, Home remains. Why is that? Because Home is non-physical. It is invisible, permanent because it is eternal, not subject to time, everlasting and hence indestructible. That does not mean that Home is an invisible version of the thing “you” call house. Another word for Home is Awareness or "I". Now that brings a completely different perspective doesn’t it? Every time you refer to Home, you are really talking about Awareness, that inner peaceful Goodness.
Awareness or "I" is Omnipotent, so Awareness (Home) is not subject to calamities, whirlwinds, fires, economic upheavals, floods, foreclosures, possession orders or what not. It is written – “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee (Isaiah 43:2). No thing can harm ME, Awareness, I, Home.
I is Omnipresence – hence there is no place, specific location that Home can be said to be. And… that means that it is impossible for “you” to be dispossessed of Home. No so-called “others” can throw Awareness out. Being that Awareness is Omnipresent then Awareness (Home) is always present – I, Awareness, will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5). Even if it appears that “you” have no house, no dwelling place and are on the street, Awareness (Home) is fully present here where I, Awareness is, and “ in thy presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11) and “my cup runneth over” ( Psalm 23:5). Should it appear that “your” house has gone “up the swanny”, Awareness (Home) is unaffected – in spite of any appearances to the contrary.
I cannot travel Home, leave Home, return Home. How can I leave Myself, Awareness? I have never left my Father’s house. How could I, as I and my Father are One and the same? As I stand on what I AM, the assurance and stability of rock-like Home is revealed: “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock (Matthew 7:24-25). This “rock” that is spoken of is Awareness aware of Itself and only Itself. This is the stability of knowing, the immovable spot, the "peace be still" in the midst of upheaval. “For I am the LORD, I change not” (Malachi 3:6).
Do you not then see that I, Being, Awareness, Now, Home are synonyms? Home is complete, perfect, whole, unchanging, unassailable, rock-like, immovable, always present, eternal.
I do not HAVE a home, Awareness IS Home.
A suggested Meditation on Home
I AM. Infinite, Omnipresent I. Being Itself. This very one is I. Without boundaries, I stretch in all directions, all dimensions. This is Home. This is I. Home is indestructible, nothing can assail Home, nothing can penetrate, or destroy. None shall destroy in all my Holy (wholly) Mountain, Home. This is the rock of Being. Undivided, indivisible, whole. This is Home. Home is steadfast, unmoving, unmovable, unchanging, unchangeable. This is Home, this is I. If I descend into hell, or if I mount up to Heaven, I cannot leave Myself. I am omnipresent. Home is Omnipresent, present everywhere. Whither shall I flee from My Presence, from Home? None shall deny me Home. None can deny me Home. I is fully present, the Allness of already – nothing is missing, nothing can be added. This is I, this is Home. Nothing can disturb the silence of I. I is perfect silence, the wellspring of Life. This is Home. Without beginning, without end, I AM. This is Home, eternal, never ending. From glory to glory, this is Home, this is I. I is Home.
Therefore, Home need not be searched for, helter-skelter. Home cannot be mortgaged, sold, nor bought. Home is Omnipresent. Home is without price. Home is Beauty and Rest.
I Rest in Home, right here, right now. No searching, no looking, no anxious thought.
Home is where the Core is, the Center Is, the very Heart of Me is Home. Home is a place of comfort, of security, a peaceful port in all storms, complete Rest, My Dwelling Place ALWAYS – no stops, no starts, no breaks.
Awareness is Home, Awareness is eternally, immortally, my Home. I Rest down now completely at Peace –– nestled in –– held gently, quietly, tenderly –– held Here, embraced Here –– at Home.
All Love,
Kay
